Army of Ghosts
Today was mostly frustrating. Big storm this morning, and fortunately, no serious damage, but we were largely without power for most of the day. Lights were just about working in a brown, flickery sort of way. Kettles, microwaves and ovens certainly were not. I was forced to forage far from home for breakfast, and manfully caught some wild McDonald's bagels and brought them home to the family. Then, horror of horrors, the power went completely and took the internet with it. The boys had an interesting learning experience as they realised just how many things they take for granted were no longer working. Off to Reculver for a walk by the sea to pass the time till the power was fixed. This evening, we have lights and data, but still not enough juice to cook with, so fish & chips for supper. Afterwards, I popped into Canterbury to find a blip for the evening, and discovered more ghosts…
