Blean Wood Leaves
My lovely day off today! This month's competition at the camera club has an Autumn theme, and so far, I haven't managed to get the kind of pictures I need to enter it. So this morning, I drove to Blean Wood—just outside Canterbury—to look for some seasonal colour. I've managed to get a few shots I'm pleased with, and they are on Flickr if you'd like to have a look. For my monochrome journal here, I came up with this interpretation of the theme: it's a slightly different process than I normally use, based on a suggestion from my friend Schubert to convert to black & white in Lightroom and then use the vast array of filters in Color Efex Pro 4 to tweak the image as needed.
