Canterbury Dawn
An early start again today— it’s easier now that the days are shorter and dawn becomes less anti-social. I went into the centre of Canterbury at about 6 a.m., when the streets are quiet apart from the roadsweepers and the occasional lorry. I found myself drawn to the illuminated shop displays contrasted against the older stonework and structures of the buildings, and came away with a few shots I was pleased with. Choosing the one to blip was harder than usual today - the other candidates are on my Flickr stream if you wish to have a look.
Mercifully, Starbucks opened at 6:30 a.m. so that I could grab a coffee. It was very pleasant sitting and watching the world go by, but I forced myself to leave before I developed any urges to buy a Moleskine notebook and try to look deep and philosophical.
