Westgate Towers & Pigeon
Back at work today after my annual leave - and it's always a busy time catching up after a holiday. When work was done I headed into town to find something to photograph. The skies were very hazy this evening, which put paid to some of the views of the park I had been planning. Instead, I took this view of the Westgate Tower, a 60-foot-high medieval gatehouse, part of the old city wall and the largest surviving city gate in England. The tower's resident pigeons were doing aerobatics, and for some reason I quite like the little blurred fellow on the edge of this shot, so I decided not to edit him out…
