A Real Pea Souper
Wednesday. Very thick fog that hung around till past noon, before giving way to the sun. A slow drive to Canterbury this morning—at times the visibility dropped below fifty metres. On the way home, I took the country lanes to find photographic opportunities; there were plenty of them. My favourite shots of the morning feature familiar locations: the patch of woodland on Singledge Lane near the crossing, and the avenue of trees along Coldred Hill. I tend to revisit these spots regularly, to capture them in different light across the seasons, and in a variety of weather conditions.
Back at home, I did a little image editing, then took a short walk along Singledge Lane from the other end. Monty had several work calls and meetings, and Raff was out at uni for most of the day—he had to give his first big presentation. We were keeping our fingers firmly crossed for him, but in the end, it all went pretty well. Later on, Milo, Dash, Monty and Ken all headed out to the gym together, while I made Beef & Bean Soup for supper. Vanessa had a late finish; she had to pop down to Folkestone after work to get a few pieces of online training done. The usual public sector IT gremlins meant she couldn’t log in unless she was in the main office.
