Christmas Eve PJs
It’s Wednesday, and it’s Christmas Eve. Up with the larks, enjoying a coffee while the house was still and silent. I’m working, but hopefully just for a half-day as it’s usually pretty quiet. Milo is doing the same this morning, too. It’s a nice day—with sun, blue skies and fluffy clouds, despite being pretty chilly. My shift was mercifully uneventful. I ordered coffee and Gregg’s sausage rolls for my colleagues mid-morning, which helped maintain the Christmas cheer, and another work friend bought everyone pizza for lunch. I was able to escape a little after 1 pm and drove straight home to begin the festive cooking marathon.
Back at home, there were three gammons to boil, clove and roast, and sausage rolls to make. Ed, Tara, Gail & Luca arrived in the afternoon and settled in for the weekend. Food included a massive order of Domino’s pizza for the gang (lucky I’ve been doing some overtime), and then there were games and movies. This year’s Christmas PJs came out, and I managed to get most of the crew to pose for a photo.
