Church Whitfield Road
Monday. Clear blue skies, but very cold and windy. Winter is coming. I’m on annual leave this week, which is wonderful, but I still had to drive to Canterbury for Dash’s school run. I embraced the theme by making a schoolboy error of my own. I forgot my wallet with the car very low on fuel, so I had to drive through town to Asda—where I could buy diesel with my phone—and paid the price of becoming embroiled in the rush hour traffic. About an hour later, I got back home, and the morning light was amazing: I took today’s photo on the hills near Church Whitfield. It was very chilly standing in the wind, waiting for the right patterns of light across the fields, but it was definitely worth it in the end.
