Wednesday. Cold, damp and very misty in the morning. We had a slow drive to Canterbury; the bad weather always seems to make the traffic worse. On the way home, I stopped on Coldred Hill to photograph the tree-lined avenue leading into the village. It’s a spot that really suits dramatic lighting, supplied in good measure by the thick fog today. A couple of hours later, it began to rain heavily and continued into the evening — definitely a time to snuggle indoors with coffee and a good internet connection. Guild Wars 2 achievements filled most of the day — I’m working on the new legendary sword, Wages of Stars — along with revisiting Ancestry and checking out the new tools; it has changed a lot in the decade since I last spent any real time on family-tree building. Spag Bol for supper, and a fairly early night.
