Decent Proposals
Saturday. Cloudy and grey in the morning, but it cleared up, and by the evening, we had sun and blue skies. Milo had to work today, but the rest of us were at home, and we got several jobs done around the house. We dragged the garage, kicking and screaming, back into some sort of order; then tackled a bit of gardening—mulching, weeding, and installing a few new plants to fill the gaps. I wheeled out my mountain bike, which required some attention to get it ready for the new season, including a new inner tube on the back wheel. Monty & Ken went on a romantic picnic, cycling through Coldred, Shepherdswell and Eythorne before stopping for lunch in the golden fields. Monty seized the moment to ‘officially propose’ to his wife, so she finally gets to wear the small shiny asteroid that has been waiting for this moment.
