Drip Check

Tuesday started out as a gorgeous day, sunny and warm, with blue skies and little fluffy clouds. It didn’t last. By mid-morning, a procession of storm clouds marched across the landscape, treating us to alternating bursts of thunder, torrential rain and summer sunshine. Dash has a History paper this afternoon and a revision session late morning, so we didn’t need to leave for school until 10:45 — not such an early start. The rest of the day was mostly wet and cold, so everybody not at work stayed hunkered inside.

Today’s photo: in between storms, I noticed the neat row of droplets along the clothesline, suspended from the pair of pegs, each reflecting the bright grey sky and glowing much brighter than the garden scene in shadow behind. A wide aperture on the Ricoh GR III rendered even more separation, creating an almost abstract composition.
