Gabbleduck
The first day back at work after a holiday is always tough, but luckily, today was only a morning shift, which seemed like a civilised way to get back into the saddle. While making a coffee and waiting for the kettle to boil, I noticed an old hot water urn and coffee machine in the corner—probably waiting to be disposed of somehow. The reflections in the chrome were interesting, and I thought they would come out well with a bit of AI abstraction.
I was pleased with this surrealist image of the scene – especially after I’d done a fair bit of fine-tuning. With all the mirrored chrome, I was pretty amused to see what the AI did with my reflected image... it reminds me of how I always imagined the gabbleducks from Neal Asher’s Polity novels.
