Great Stour Crossing

Tuesday. No work for me today, which is lucky, because there are plenty of things to sort out ready for the newlyweds’ return. It turned out to be a fine and clear day, with a fresh breeze. Ed & Tara came to visit to welcome Monty & Ken home. I cooked up a huge batch of my unfeasibly large meatballs with tagliatelli, and Dash got busy making soda bread when he got home from school. Vanessa decorated the house, complete with a half-American, half-British flag, and a banquet table featuring flowers, champagne on ice, and nibbles.

Today’s photo: riverboats in Grove Ferry, moored up along the banks of the Great Stour river, taken on a short photo walk this morning.
