Homesteading
Friday. Mostly cool and cloudy, with a few bursts of sunshine. After the school run, the house was empty; it was a mellow and peaceful day, perfect for some serious gaming. Guild Wars 2 introduced a new player-housing system last year, a long-awaited feature that allows you to design and build your own homestead, a little haven for all your characters in the game. It’s the kind of rabbit hole that can easily absorb all of your gaming time, and more, so I have resisted the Homesteading bug till now. Today I finally succumbed. It’s a rabbit hole, indeed, but great fun—a surprise for my friends from the guild later tonight. In Raff’s fine dining experience this evening, probably the best recipe so far: Goan-Style Basa & Spinach Curry with Coriander Rice.
