Pipe Dreams

Tuesday. Yet another wet and murky day, very gloomy, with drizzle that lasted through till the evening. Dash and I left early for the school run, but the traffic was still heavy in town. I had another morning shift at work, just until 1 pm. A little extra money never hurts. I escaped on time and took a longer route home so I could stop off on the seafront between Deal and Walmer. There’s plenty of scope for interesting detail photography on the old fishing beach, perfect for an overcast day. I found these colourful pipes (used to roll the boats in and out of the water) and took several shots before heading home.

Monty’s off to Bristol this evening, to attend a conference for work; I dropped him at the station in Dover just before five. He’ll be away till Sunday. Milo and Dash went to the gym, and Vanessa’s out this evening for hair and nail appointments— preparations for her trip to Verona at the weekend. On the menu at Raff’s Fine Dining Emporium tonight: Crispy Chicken & Tenderstem Tray Bake with Rosemary Sauce.
