Pumpkin Readiness
Friday. A sunny autumn day, fresh and clear. The school run went smoothly — not much traffic — and I had a very civilised shift at work. It was busy enough to pass the time, but not remotely stressful. Our lunchtime coffee tribe is growing; six of us marched over to Starbucks today in pursuit of caffeine. My afternoon was pleasantly brief, and I escaped just after 4 p.m. The house was quiet in the evening: Raff’s out with uni friends; Milo is away for the weekend, so we won’t see him till next Friday. Leftover chilli for supper, and a bit of photo-editing while watching Reacher. We were a guildie down for Fuckit Friday this evening: apparently the first night of Strictly was more enticing than hitting pixel monsters with a stick — who knew?
