Slightly Better Saturday
Easter Saturday. The weather seems to have turned a little—it was pretty chilly outside and overcast this morning. The day brightened up, with a sunny afternoon, but it stayed cold. I had been thinking about a barbecue in the afternoon, but with the temperature dropping and the wind picking up, we decided against it. Instead, I cooked a lamb meatloaf topped with garlic mash and onion gravy—a Gousto recipe left over from the week, which turned out to be delicious. Beyond that, it really was an uneventful but relaxing day: I have no complaints.
I took this shot of Little Ed snoozing on a garden bench. His fur glowed in the bright sunshine, and his ginger bits matched the warm oak staining of the bench and the garden room wall behind him.
