Spacewalk
Wednesday. It was foggy on the drive to Canterbury this morning, but once it cleared, we had sun and blue skies for the rest of the day. I had a long and busy shift at work; it was particularly hectic in the morning. I stopped for a cuppa at lunchtime and watched my colleagues play Suspend in the coffee room—that game is becoming a bit of a craze at the moment. Intricate constructions collapsed unceremoniously, tempers frayed, and the air frequently turned blue. By some miracle, lunchtime ended, and no one had been stabbed in the eye with a short piece of twisted wire… which is always a good thing.
When I got home in the evening, our house was just as busy: Monty, Ken, Milo, Raff & Dash played Castlevania on the PS4 in the lounge, then after considerable debate, moved on to Hollow Knight: Silksong. Tara’s been here for the afternoon, turning her hand to a bit of carpentry and fixing a problem in the bathroom upstairs. Gabriel’s in the midst of student housing woes, with a dilemma over who to share a house with next year, so I did my best to talk him through that. Finally, I cooked fish & chips for supper and settled in for a spot of gaming myself.
