Wednesday. A total change in the weather—cold and windy, with heavy rain for most of the day. I had a busy morning shift, but I was able to clear my afternoon’s work in advance, and escape for a while at 1 pm. It was not total freedom, as I did need to return to the office for an early evening meeting, but it was nice to get a few hours at home. There were shenanigans with our local roads: intermittent closures and diversions, all the fun stuff—but the weather brightened up and we had sunshine in the evening. Dash made his amazing soda bread, so I had some of that for supper when I got home at 8 pm.
