Blanket Fort

Canterbury, March 2015

It’s Good Friday, so we have four days of lovely Bank Holiday weekend ahead. The boys were happily playing upstairs and constructed this impressive little blanket fort. When I took the picture, they pretended to camp out and read ghost stories by torchlight. The room was quite bright with mid-afternoon sunlight, but in editing, I made it appear a bit more like nighttime to fit in with their game. Lightroom’s excellent masking tools were essential to this, and Luminar Neo has some impressive portrait tools that allow you to simulate a new light source in the image, allowing me to light Milo’s torch.
