Jumping in Muddy Puddles

Blean Woods, Canterbury, January 2014

The title for this image was pretty much inevitable, as anyone familiar with Peppa Pig will understand! Dash was having a whale of a time with his welly boots on, although he still managed to end up soaking wet and covered in mud. However, with small boys on a walk in the woods, this is the way of things…

Keen to visit Blean Woods? The postcode for the access track to the car park is CT2 9DD. From the A2 coming from Dover, take the A28 Canterbury turnoff and go right (signposted Canterbury, Margate, Wincheap), at the following roundabout take the first left signposted London, Whitstable, A2). At the next roundabout turn left onto Rheims Way (A2050). Turn right onto Rough Common, drive through Rough Common village, then 100m further on look for a brown tourist sign for the reserve at the bus stop on the left. Turn left onto the access track, and continue to the car park. From the A2 coming from the London direction, take the Harbledown turnoff (A2050), then take a left turn signposted Rough Common and Blean. Then follow as before. From Canterbury city centre, take the A290 Whitstable road then turn left at the mini-roundabout, signposted Rough Common. Turn right at the bus stop, where there is a sign for the reserve.
