Let Them Eat Cake

The Chaucer Hotel, Canterbury, March 2006

It’s Milo’s Christening today. At the ripe old age of seven months, we took him to St Thomas’ Church in Burgate for the Sunday Mass and his christening ceremony. All went smoothly, apart from two of his godparents missing the proceedings entirely because they hadn’t realised the clocks go forward this morning! You know who you are… After the service, we had a lovely celebration at The Chaucer Hotel in Canterbury with family and friends. My sister Vickie had baked a fantastic, towering, chocolate-covered, jaffa christening cake which was very much appreciated, and by no one more than big brothers Raffy and Monty who devoured far too many slices while the grown-ups were not looking!
