Monday. A very early photo today, the clue’s in the title. I’d fallen asleep on the sofa, and for some reason I woke in the wee hours, around four. I noticed these striking shadows cast by a nearby streetlight, and something in the pattern of light and darkness really wanted to be captured in camera.
It rained all night and continued throughout the day. A non-stop day at work too, covering the Blean office in the morning, then a rush back to the main site for meetings and more work till after five, with barely time to grab a cup of tea. On the drive home, the heavens opened even wider. The A2 began to resemble a swimming pool, and the windscreen wipers could not keep up with the downpour. Quite sensibly, traffic slowed to a crawl, and it ended up being a very long journey home indeed.
