Back to the Future GW3

Friday. We had a sunny, dry start to the morning with a few wispy, high clouds and patches of blue sky. Dash has an English Language paper this morning, but he’ll have that out of the way by lunchtime. Back to the office for me after yesterday’s unexpected shenanigans: a lot of people are on leave this week, so it seemed particularly busy. We’re having weather bingo again today: heavy clouds returned by lunchtime, hung around indolently for a while, then surrendered the sky and buggered off by early evening.

Back at home, the house was quiet. Monty’s off in London to meet up with his friend Sam, and will be back tomorrow evening. Milo’s out at the gym in Canterbury. Raff & Dash ordered Domino’s pizza for supper, while I remained iron-willed and stuck to my soup. Vanessa messaged to say Ed had gone to theatre for his back surgery around 3 pm — so we all kept everything crossed — but luckily everything seemed to go well, and he was back on the ward by eight.

Huge gaming news this evening: ArenaNet has announced development of Guild Wars 3, a new MMO to the franchise set over a thousand years before the events of the first two games. On the one hand — new MMORPG, squeee! On the other, after 13 years of building progress in GW2, there’s some disquiet about the fate of the world we’ve come to call a second home.
