Early Morning Leaves

Monday. Up at the crack of dawn for me, not by choice, didn’t sleep well. I caught the early morning light and took a few photos of our growing vegetation… a pair of heucheras in this image. Dash is back at school today after the half-term. Gubs had an interesting revelation: he thought he had his final Film Studies A-level paper this morning, but upon checking, realised it is actually tomorrow, not today. A mix of relief and disappointment, but at least he has an extra day for revision, which might help a little.

It’s sunny, with blue skies, but not too hot today. Work was hectic in the morning, and there was a particularly annoying meeting in the afternoon. Luckily, the afternoon session was over quickly, and I was able to retreat home at pace. This evening, Raff & I cooked a bacon and butternut squash lasagne with mushrooms and sage.
