Halfway Spot
Easter Monday. Pretty summery all day—sun, blue skies and high wispy clouds. It’s been a quiet day, and very relaxing. Around noon, I did my usual walk to the crossing and back, about 7.5 km. Gubs went to the climbing wall in Canterbury to practise his bouldering skills, and returned with a few triumphant scrapes and bruises. He assures me these are the marks of a good session. Monty, Ken & Milo arrived home after their European adventures in Amsterdam, Brussels and Bruges. They took the cross-channel ferry from Calais, and I picked them up from the Port of Dover at 8 pm. We made Roast Chicken for supper—well, Vanessa and Raff did—and then just a peaceful evening and an early night.
