Kingsmead Canopy

Friday. Another gloriously sunny morning. No exams for Dash today, so he gets to have a lie-in. It’s the last day of work before a nice long bank holiday weekend — four days off for me — but my shift today was very busy and stretched well into the evening by the time I’d wrapped everything up. No time to stop for lunch, I just had to work straight through. Managed to dive out for 10 minutes to grab a cold drink in the afternoon, and took this photograph of the River Stour on the way. Tasty soup and a little telly to wind down in the evening — Milo’s rewatching Merlin in the lounge, an old family favourite. Back to Canterbury later to collect Dash, who’s out at another beach party in Whitstable.
