Mouth’s Edge

Sunday. An early start: a 4 a.m. pickup for Milo after his Halloween night out in Canterbury at Spoons and the Cuban. Thick fog blanketed the landscape, making for an appropriately spooky setting and an interesting bit of night driving. Dash was out overnight at a party in Thornden Woods, so I went to collect him around eight. We stopped for a McDonald’s breakfast on the way back. Vanessa was working in Folkestone again today, so the house was quiet, with Milo, Dash and Raff all sleeping in for the rest of the morning. We made roast chicken for Sunday dinner, and Milo headed back to London around five.
