On the Other Tree
Thursday. It stayed cold, dark and overcast all day, with thick grey clouds and occasional showers. Dash and I had to leave earlier this morning, so the traffic was lighter than usual. I had a long supervising shift, but not a busy one, and it gave me a chance to catch up on a lot of paperwork. Kenadee got back from her travels mid-afternoon. It’s great to have her home; the house feels properly transatlantic once again. Sausage and chips for supper—nice hot chilli ones too. Today’s photo: our second Christmas tree is up and decorated, a real one that lives in the lounge. Raff in particular loves to have a real tree; the fresh piney smell is very much part of the atmosphere for him—all those lovely terpenes and esters wafting around.
