Penny Pints
Wednesday. Storms and heavy rain overnight, but back to sun and clear blue skies by the time I left for work. It was a fairly steady morning, with one job that took me out of the office at lunchtime and a staff training session in the afternoon. Those nearly always have the good grace to finish early, so it was not such a long shift. Our colleague Phil is retiring, and today was the day for his speeches and cards — even though he has one last day next week before he’s finished. We grabbed drinks at The Penny, talked sagely about motorhomes and cameras, and wished him all the best for the future. I will undoubtedly be picking his brains about the motorhome thing though — that sounds right up my street. Just a quiet evening at home after that: supper, a spot of gaming and an early(ish) night.
