Phoenix Shadows

Thursday. A fine, clear, and sunny day — perfect summer weather, without being too hot or humid. Last night’s footie did not go well at the end. Once again, it failed to come home, and Milo was not a particularly happy camper this morning. For Raff, Gubs, Dash and me, the rest of the day was entirely uneventful — which is sometimes exactly how I like it. Dad’s Taxi duties resumed in the evening: Dash has a party in Canterbury, with a 5 a.m. pick-up tomorrow. Pork chops & chips for supper, watched a bit of telly, then an early night.

Today’s photo: Gabriel’s bike was casting interesting shadows in the mid-morning sun, so I shot a couple of frames on the Ricoh GRIII. There’s an updated version of DXO’s excellent FilmPack software, DXO FilmPack 8, recently released, which includes several new emulsions in its lineup. Among them is Harman’s redscale colour negative film, Phoenix 200, which produced some very moody and atmospheric results.
