Pumpkin Time
Saturday morning started very early, with a 04:30 Dad’s Taxi run to Dover Priory station: Monty & Ken are off to Copenhagen for a few days. The weather was foul, with violent gusts and heavy rain hammering down. It’s a particularly special trip for M&K… they will be getting married in Copenhagen on Monday. It’s going to be a quiet little ceremony, just the two of them, exactly how they want it. I think they’re being incredibly sensible, keeping it low-key and saving their money for more important things than a big party. Different strokes for different folks and all that… but I love it when people choose to do the unconventional thing when it’s right for them.
Vanessa’s working in Folkestone today, and the house was tranquil. I pottered with some image-editing and a spot of gaming—the weather certainly wasn’t inviting any outdoor pursuits—but later on, there was a brief break in the clouds with spells of spectacular light. I jumped in the car and went for a photo drive. I snagged this image at the pick-your-own pumpkin farm near Ash, one last hurrah for the Halloween festivities.
