Red Stripes & Sparkles
Wednesday. We’re playing weather bingo again today. Heavy rain first thing, but by the time we left for the school run, sun and blue skies had returned. It continued lurching from one extreme to the other for the rest of the day. Our new Archbishop is being installed this afternoon; the car park running alongside the city wall by the Cathedral was full of mobile broadcast trailers. The Most Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally will be the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, and the first woman to hold the office in its 1400-year history.
My workday dragged on a bit—till around six in the evening—but it wasn’t a bad day at all. I made a Beef & Lentil Soup for supper, then relaxed with a bit of cosy levelling in GW2, and a few documentaries on YouTube.
