Rusty Reptile
Friday. Heavy rain all day, and very foggy on the way to work this morning. I had such a long and busy day. The morning shift ran over until well after 2 pm, and the afternoon was abnormally hectic as well. Our IT systems were on the fritz, so getting all the paperwork done became an utter delight. I did not manage to escape the grasping corporate tendrils until nearly seven. Vanessa is helping out with the school disco this evening—next week is half term—so she didn’t get home till late either. The house was quiet: Monty, Milo, Dash and Ken were all out at the gym when I got home. But, at least the day is done, and it’s now the weekend—time to flop bonelessly in my comfy chair and practice masterful inactivity.
