Seasalter Night
Friday. Hot and humid from the start, with temperatures peaking at 29°C in Canterbury; a gentle breeze helped mitigate the heat slightly outside. I had a long shift at work that stretched into the evening. My office has two windows and a fan that normally copes, but today struggled to make any difference to the sweltering conditions. Got home at seven, made supper and settled in for a quiet one. Dash has another Whitstable beach party this evening (most of the local sixteen-year-olds are finishing exams and rightly celebrating the fact) so a late Dad’s Taxi run is in the offing. Monty’s gone to Bristol for the weekend, to catch up with his friend Sam.
Tonight’s photo: a late one, taken shortly before midnight in Seasalter, while I was waiting to pick up Dash. A long exposure shot balanced on my wing mirror that turned out a lot better than I expected.
