Taking the Biscuit
Thursday. A weird kaleidoscope of weather today: cool and misty first thing, then dark clouds and heavy rain for the rest of the morning—and by lunchtime we had clear skies and sun again. Work went smoothly; it was just a pleasant supervisory shift that ended by five. It was bitterly cold by evening, and downright uncomfortable on the drive home until the car had warmed up. Raff made a delicious supper tonight: Steak & Stilton Pie with Crushed Potatoes, Tenderstem Broccoli and Gravy.
I had a nice surprise waiting for me this evening—a package of 4x4cm square photo prints from FreeSnaps, about three hundred of them. I’ve been meaning to make prints of all my best work for years now. Obviously, everything is backed up on multiple drives and in the cloud, but who knows how long that data will be accessible when I’m no longer around to maintain it. Long after I’m six feet under, I want my boys (and their children) to be able to find dusty shoeboxes full of old prints and precious memories. That said, there are a few thousand more images to go. I think I will be at this for a while.
