The Long Drive Home
Sunday morning. Despite the excellent hotel room and an early night, we woke around 3 am and decided to start the long drive home. The motorways were blissfully empty and free of roadworks, so we arrived home just after nine. It was clear and dry all the way home—much better weather, although by the afternoon the rain found us again.
After all that, it's just a peaceful day at home for me, with a spot of gaming and a nap! Gabriel reported that his first night out was fun, and he met loads of lovely new people (while helping a lot of drunken ones get home safely). It’s been a day of travelling for most of us: Liv & Milo are driving up to Nottingham today so she can start her second year of university. Monty & Kenadee are leaving Krabi and flying to Vietnam, on the next phase of their round-the-world adventure.
