Thornden Wood Sunlight
Monday. Refreshingly cool and windy first thing — I was awake early, enjoying both my morning coffee and the unfamiliar sensation of feeling slightly too cold in a t-shirt. No work for me, I’m on leave this week. V & Milo were off to work early, but for the rest of us, there was just a chilled day ahead. It stayed rather windy and cool all day, cloudy at first, but even though the sun returned in the afternoon, the temperature never rose above 22°C. The perfect antidote to yesterday’s roasting. For the most part, I pottered happily at home, but I had to go into town later to collect something. On the way back, I stopped along Thornden Wood Road to capture the low evening sunlight streaming between the trees.
