Perry Wood Adventure

Perry Wood, Selling, Faversham, May 2018

More bank holiday plans today - we’re off to Perry Woods for a wander through the beautiful pines and ferns. Picnic packed, and flasks of coffee at hand, we all trooped along the trail through the woods. This spot pictured is excellent fun, with slopes and dips often used by mountain bikers but also fun for the boys to scramble over. From a photographic perspective (pun intended)  it’s wonderful, with lovely dappled sunlight and long shadows among the tall, slender pine trunks. I shot this image in infrared, which is perfect for making the most of the contrast and shadows. Our little family crew is just visible along the ridge line in the background.

Fujifilm X-E1 (720nm infrared converted) with XF 14m f/2.8 lens, 1/60 sec, f/8, ISO 250, Lightroom, Color Efex Pro 4, Silver Efex Pro 2
