Green Gullet

Tuesday. Half-day of overtime today, covering the morning shift in the Chartham office: helps out and brings bacon, so it’s all good. New desk arrived this morning, attached to an enormous pallet — luckily Raff, Gubs and Dash were home to take delivery. Plenty of flat-pack fun to be had in the afternoon, spurred on by the carrot of a nearly-finished man cave. Sadly, we couldn’t complete the job today — we’re still waiting on the drawers for the end of the desk, which will arrive on Friday. A bookshelf, somewhere out there, is also wending its way towards us. There’s no rush: I am now quite accustomed to my little makeshift office, so a few more days will not hurt. Dash has a party in Bridge this evening — I dropped him off at seven. Fortunately, he will be sleeping over, so no early-hours pickup, and Raff will collect him mid-morning tomorrow.
