Green Sky @ Night
Wednesday. We have another heatwave, with temperatures hitting 34°C in Canterbury; humid and sticky all day, too. I hunkered down in my office for most of the day, fans on full blast, and just steadily got the jobs done. Grabbed a cold drink from Starbucks with the gang at lunchtime. It was well after five before I could leave, and fortunately it was slightly cooler in Whitfield — higher ground, right on the coast.
Vanessa’s gone to London for a couple of days, to visit her dad and take him to a hospital appointment tomorrow. Luckily we have enough provisions for the boys to feed upon, so I don’t predict any emergencies, but the house did seem eerily quiet in the evening. Milo, Gabriel and Dash went out to see the new Spiderman movie at the cinema in Dover. To change the scenery, I popped out just after sunset for a little blue hour photography and a sneaky coffee.
