Midpoint

Thursday. Warm and sunny from the start. Dash has an English Language GCSE paper this morning, so I dropped him at school on the way to work as usual, and Raff will pick him up around 11 am after the exam. Only a half-day shift for me, so I was able to escape around one in the afternoon. Keen to make the most of the beautiful weather, I headed straight out onto Singledge Lane and marched briskly to the Crossing and back. There are enough rolling hills on this route to get some good cardio if you push yourself, and I managed to keep up a decent pace all the way. I stopped midway to take this shot, sunlight streaming through trees now bedecked in green, and a little summer haze in the air.

Another pretty chilled evening; soup and Guild Wars 2 for me. Dash is celebrating the end of this first batch of GCSE papers β€” he now has an 11-day respite before the next set begins. Raff also has reason to flex a little: he got the end-of-year marks back from his first year at university, and he’s on track for a First!
